Dead Art? Then and Now

Photo competition – Win £1,000!

The Memorial Awareness Board (MAB) has teamed up with StoneGuard and SLR Photography to celebrate the beauty ofstone memorials in the UK, and is inviting photographers, professional and amateurs, across the UK to capture the essence of memorialisation.

Through the ages headstones have honoured those passed as a tribute of their life, and are lasting works of art in memory of a loved one lost.

For your chance to win £1,000 you must enter two (2) photos that best capture the beauty of stone memorials, then and now.

One runner-up will win a day out with professional photographer Shannon Lee Robinson.

How it works:
Both images must contain a stone memorial – images can be in colour, black & white or one of each.

The Then photo should represent memorials as history
The Now must be a modern headstone.

How to enter:
To enter your photos*, please send them to mab@oneismore.com before midnight Friday 20th August 2010 along with:

• Your full name
  
• Email
  
• Phone number
  
• Description of images and location

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges from all entries received by midnight Friday 20th August 2010.

• Entries will not be valid unless two (2) photos are entered (then and now)
• Entries with only one photo will not be counted
• All images must be 2480 x 1748 pixels (minimum) and compressed in JPEG format
• Only one entry (two photos) per person

Winner and runner up will be informed before 7th September 2010 by phone and email.
