Hello there! Its CYA season again and my team and I are gearing up for a great year. 2007 was the 10th anniversary for the awards, and we can’t lie; it was a great one. However, being the perfectionists that we are we plan for CYA 2008 to blow last year’s awards off the charts!

You asked, we obliged. We on the CYA committee have made entering our fabulous awards a much much simpler process. Here's how:

1. NO MORE FOLDERS!
   Yes, you read correctly. Instead, this year’s CYA registration will be a simple one page ONLINE application via our new shiny website and your entry will come directly to our inbox! Excited yet? Just wait, it gets even better.
2. REVAMPED & NEW CATEGORIES
   Not only have we moved online, but we have also revamped our categories and special awards. (Just click on the box titled Conditions of Entry for more details)
3. ALL SITES TO BE VISITED!
   In 2008, all entrants will receive a 1-2-1 visit with one of our enthusiastic judges. This will be the perfect opportunity to chat our judges’ ear off about all of the fantastic work you and your staff do all year round. image 1 image 2 image 3 image 4 4
4. MARK THE VISIT IN YOUR DIARY
   Yes, we will give you one week’s notice before one of our judges visits your site. Pretty good deal, I’d say.
5. DISCOUNT FOR COUNCILS ENTERING MORE THAN ONE SITE
   Absolutely! All councils entering more than one burial site will get the second one at 50% off! (Including Special Awards)
6. SPECIAL AWARDS ONLY
   Not sure you want to compete in the main categories, but you have a truly outstanding relationship with your community or feel you deserved to be acknowledged for your improvements? Then these Special Awards are just what you are looking for. You can enter these on their own without having to enter a main category. And two awards are free to enter!
