George Squire & Sons Funeral Service (Neville Funeral Service)
Neville Funeral Service has well over one hundred years experience in serving the community in time of bereavement. Competent and sympathetic staff are always available to help, advise and to carry out the wishes of those suffering the loss of relative or friend.
In 1976, George Squire & Sons, in Shefford was aquired, providing an opportunity to add a monumental department to further enhance their service, together with funeral offices and Chapels of Rest. A further office and Chapel was provided in Ampthill in 1987, created from a redundant church. This also became the base for our flower service which was introduced at this time. In 1990 we acquired Arnolds Funeral Service in Bedford, and then in 1997, G.Hall & Sons in Hemel Hempstead became part of our group of family businesses.
They still remain an independent company, retaining the skill and craftsmen capable of meeting all requirements. It is their policy to continue the very high standard of service handed down over the last century and to maintain the original maxim of "Respect and Economy".
The Columbaria Company
The Columbaria Company was founded in 1990 and is part of the Odlings Group who have been manufacturing and importing memorials since 1870. We currently supply over 200 local authorities and private crematoria in the UK.
Our comprehensive range of products and bespoke design service is a direct result of extensive research into our client's requirements and their public's needs. We offer a wide range of after cremation memorials including children's and babies, water features, benches and seats - all in a choice of coloured granites.
Over the past few years we have developed an extensive range of children's and babies memorial features some of which have won awards. We are probably the largest supplier in this particular field and meet regularly with groups such as S.A.N.D.S., maternity hospitals, bereavement service managers and many other organisations associated with this extremely sensitive area of the death care industry.
